U5 10 Port Charger Firmware Upgrade
This article explains the process for upgrading the U5 10 Port charger firmware.
Install the Upgrade Tool from the link below:
NOTE: The Upgrade Tool is only compatible with Windows based operating systems.
Download the Latest Firmware from the link below:
Ensure there are no batteries connected to the charger and turn the power button on the charger OFF.
Connect the Micro USB cable to the charger and PC as shown in the image below.
Open the Upgrade Tool.
Select "Open" and select the correct firmware file.
PLEASE MAKE SURE ONLY THE DOWNLOADED FILE FROM THE LINK ABOVE IS USED FOR THE FIRMWARE UPGRADE!
Select "Upgrade".
The Upgrade Tool will prompt you to turn on the charger.
The Upgrade tool has a progress bar at the bottom of the page.
DO NOT TURN OFF THE CHARGER OR DISCONNECT THE USB CABLE WHILE UPGRADING. DOING SO MAY PERMANENTLY DAMAGE THE CHARGER.Since the charger has two banks, you will need to repeat the process for the other charger bank. The USB cable for the opposite bank is on the opposite side of the charger.
When the upgrade process is complete as indicated by the upgrade tool, simply disconnect the USB cable from the charger and return to normal usage.
Note: the charger will automatically reboot when the upgrade process is complete.
